Nia Clement ‘26 and Ralph-Montas Osias ‘27 were named Class of 2026 Jeannette K. Watson Fellows. The fellowships provide student leaders with three years of mentorship and fully-funded internships with leading organizations in New York City and around the world.
Clement is a political science major and Macaulay honors student who has interned with L’Oreal, as a L'Oreal Fellow, with Propel, as a Propel Fellow, and with the Kings County Supreme Court. She is also a Writing Center tutor and a member of Grammy U, a Recording Academy mentorship program. In high school, she participated in the Columbia University Pre-College Summer Immersion Program at the US Supreme Court and interned with New York State Senator John Brooks.
Osias is also a political science major and Macaulay honors student. He serves as a restorative justice peer mediator with the Macaulay Restorative Justice Practice and interned with the New York State Unified Court System and the Federal Defenders of New York. He was named to the Dean’s List, received a Certification of Excellence from the United Nations Student Association and earned a Peter F. Vallone Academic Scholarship. In high school, Osias served as a student researcher with the New York State Neurological Society, winning their Distinguished Research Award, and participated in the Cornell University Pre-College Studies Program.
Previous Watson Fellows include Aaron Fernando ‘22, a CUNY Law student and Musarrat Lamia ‘22, community liaison & scheduler for the New York City Council. Watson Fellows attend top graduate programs, become leaders in law, medicine, public policy, business, arts and sciences and receive national awards such as Aspen, Coro, Fulbright and Truman.
