About the Math & Science Resource Center (MSRC)

The MSRC offers the following tutoring services.  Students may make an appointment on their own via EAB Navigate or by calling the MSRC at (646) 557-4635. 

• Small group tutoring
• One-on-one tutoring
• Study groups
• MFQR Partnership Program
• Topic-based workshops
• Curriculum-based recitation
• Exam Reviews (midterms and finals)

Walk-in support

• Quick questions/answers
• No appointment necessary
• Clarifying terminology
• Practice sheets for finals (when available)

MSRC Loan Program

Currently enrolled John Jay students with valid John Jay I.D. card with an additional form of collateral of equal value may borrow resources from our Center free of charge. Items must be returned during regular business hours the same day they are borrowed. Our resources include:

• Textbooks for specific courses
• Scientific and graphing calculators
• Molecular models
• Lab goggles
• Lab coats

Windows desktop computer Lab

Within our suite in room 1.94NB is a computer lab with new Dell desktop computers outfitted with the latest software.  Students may access the lab for free when the lab is not reserved for faculty or staff.  Students may also print onsite.  Some of the pre-installed software include:
