Tuition Assistance
I am interested in receiving tuition assistance.
The Acceleration Program provides tuition assistance to both continuing undergraduate students and entering first-time freshmen.
Tuition assistance for continuing undergraduates
is offered in the winter and summer intersessions. Eligible students can receive tuition assistance for a single course. Students are supported throughout the intersession, and must complete activities vital to the successful completion of their course and continued academic momentum. Funding is limited and students are accepted on a rolling basis until funding has been exhausted.
Eligibility Criteria
- Continuing John Jay undergraduate student
- Not projected to earn 30 credits (24 for SEEK students) in an academic year
- Off-track in 4-year (5-year for SEEK students) graduation
- Off-track in gateway course completion
- *TAP eligibility may be required for specific groups where other tuition assistance funding is not available

Tuition assistance for entering first-time freshmen
is offered in the summer prior to a student’s entry to college. Eligible students can receive tuition assistance for a single gateway course they would otherwise take in the fall semester. Students are supported throughout the summer, and given early access to the college experience and acclimation. Seats and funding are limited. Students are accepted on a rolling basis until seats and funding has been exhausted.

- Able to commute to John Jay for 5-weeks July through August
