Turnitin Version Comparison
CUNY’s transition to the Brightspace Learning Management System has allowed John Jay to offer two versions of the Turnitin plagiarism checker in Brightspace. Each version offers different functionality and advantages. Faculty can select the version that is appropriate for their use, but please note that assessments created with one version of Turnitin are not accessible in the other. Courses may use either or both versions, as needed.
The table below summarizes differences and advantages in the two versions of Turnitin as integrated into Brightspace:
