Bio

Antonio Álvarez-Benavides holds a PhD in Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid and the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences in Paris. He is currently an adjunct assistant professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York and researcher at the Contemporary Sociocultural Studies Group (GRESCO). He has participated in more than 20 research and social intervention projects in both the public and private spheres and has more than 30 publications. His work deals with the sociology of social movements, sociological theory, research methodologies and social intervention
