    In September 2022, Greensboro created its Office of Community Safety that focuses on collaboration and cooperation between City leadership, the Greensboro Police Department (GPD), and the community to enhance public safety.

    The Crime Reduction Program in Union City involves the cooperation and communication of both the Police Department and the citizens.

    Mt. Vernon has joined the Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) Initiative that provides state funding to local law enforcement agencies for resources as well as focused training and technical assistance.
