Bronx District Attorney Clerkship -- EVERY SEMESTER
Intern at the Bronx DA's Office with potential for future internships and career opportunities (and earn 3 credits)!
Applications are usually available in late February for fall internships and late September for spring internships. Look for an email from Dr. Sidman or the Pre-Law Institute.
The associated course is POL 277, which gives credit in Part 4 of the Political Science major, Part 5 of the Law & Society major (through substitution), and the Political Science minor.
Judicial Internship -- EVERY SEMESTER
Intern with Judges or Other Judicial Offices and earn 6 credits!
Applications are usually available in early February for fall internships and early September for spring internships. Look for an email from Dr. Sidman or the Pre-Law Institute.
The associated course is LWS 378, which gives credit in Part 4 of the Political Science major, Part 5 of the Law & Society major (through substitution), and the Political Science minor.
Internship in NYC Government & Politics -- EVERY SEMESTER
Intern 12 to 16 hours per week with an elected official, city agency, or relevant nonprofit organization. and earn 6 credits!
Students can also apply for special CUNY-wide programs that provide scholarships/stipends that go along with this internship. You can learn about these programs here (Caucus CUNY Scholars) and here (Women's Public Service).

New York State Legislature Internships -- SPRING ONLY
Spend the semester in Albany interning in either the NYS Assembly or NYS Senate.
Earn a stipend and academic credit (15 credits!)
Applications become available in September and are due in late October.
