Support Group: LGBTQ+ Luncheon

This is a safe and confidential group for John Jay College LGBTQ+ identified students. Come and talk about different ways to navigate the coming out process, relationships, intersectionality, and rejection/discrimination experiences.

The group meets weekly on Tuesdays during community hour in  L.68 NB the Counseling Center conference room. Students can also attend virtually by registering HERE 

ABOUT THE COUNSELOR

Lisa Braun is a clinical psychologist who began working at John Jay College Wellness Center in November 2021. A Long Island native, she earned her bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University, a master's degree from City College as well as a Master's and Doctor of Psychology from The Graduate Center at The City University of New York. She will provide counseling for the LGBTQ+ community, and host events in conjunction with the LGBTQ+ Resource Center where students are encouraged to embrace their individuality and explore their expression of gender and sexual orientation. Lisa lives in Manhattan with her partner and many plants which she passionately cultivates and nurtures.  Have questions? She can be reached at lbraun@jjay.cuny.edu
