The Faculty Personnel Committee (FPC) makes recommendations to the President regarding appointments, promotions and reappointments with or without tenure/CCE. The committee also makes recommendations to the President regarding fellowship leaves, Distinguished Professor candidacies, and other personnel matters as expressed in the Faculty Personnel Guidelines. The FPC votes on personnel action appeals by faculty members and on policy matters related to the work of the committee.
The complete membership of the Faculty Personnel Committee comprises the chairs of each academic department; the President (Chair), the Provost (Co-Chair), the deans of Undergraduate Studies, Graduate Studies, and Research, three (3) at large members and three (3) alternate members.
