Glenn Corbett

Glenn Corbett, Associate Professor at John Jay College, brings extensive expertise in fire science and public management. As the technical editor of Fire Engineering Magazine and a former assistant chief of the Waldwick, New Jersey Fire Department, he's deeply involved in fire safety initiatives. He's testified before the 9/11 Commission and Congressional committees, focusing on emergency response and terrorism-resistant building protection. Serving on the Federal Advisory Committee of the National Construction Safety Team investigating the World Trade Center disaster, he's a key figure in understanding building safety. Additionally, as chief technical advisor to the Skyscraper Safety Campaign, he works to enhance emergency response and fire protection in high-rise buildings.

Operations Manager Lisa Rodriguez
Lisa Rodriguez

As Operations Manager, Lisa oversees office operations and possesses extensive knowledge of our multi-college system. Since 2009, she's served as an Adjunct Lecturer for the department while also contributing her expertise as the Administrative Assistant to the Academy of Critical Incident Analysis (ACIA) for a decade. Lisa holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology, an MPA with a Specialization in Management and Operations and Human Resource Management. She is a proud member of Pi Alpha Alpha (PAA), the Global Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration.

Undergraduate Advisor Yvonne Purdie
Yvonne Purdie

Yvonne W. Purdie boasts a remarkable 30-year tenure at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She's held pivotal roles including Chief of Operations for the Vice President of Student Affairs and Deputy Director of Human Resources. Currently, as Director of Undergraduate Student Services in the Department of Public Management and an Adjunct Lecturer, she plays a vital role in student support and education. Yvonne serves as the Major Advisor for several programs including Criminal Justice Management, Fraud Examination, Financial Forensics, and Public Administration, and advises on minors and certificates in Accounting and Public Administration. With a BS in Legal Studies and an MPA specializing in Human Resources from John Jay College, she brings a wealth of expertise to her work. Yvonne is also a Certified General Topics Trainer accredited by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services Municipal Police Training Council.
