Fall 2009 Semester

Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Sunday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

The Helpdesk will be open until 12:00 AM during the following periods:

Monday, December 7th – Thursday, December 10th
Monday, December 14th – Thursday, December 17th  

The Helpdesk will be closed on the following days through the end of the calendar year.

Monday: September 7th (Labor Day)
Monday: October 12th (Columbus Day)
Thursday: November 26th (Thanksgiving Holiday)
Friday: November 27th (Thanksgiving Holiday)
Thursday: December 24th (Christmas Eve)
Friday: December 25th (Christmas Day)
Thursday: December 31st (New Year’s Eve)

NOTE: Inquiries made to the Helpdesk via phone or email after 10:00 PM on the day previous to those listed above will be responded to on the next business day.

The helpdesk is the central source of all communication within DoIT (Department of Information Technology). We support the technology needs for 14,000+ students and for over 2,200 faculty and staff.

The DoIT Helpdesk does its best to resolve a problem when a call is received. If we are unable to resolve a users issue then a work order is created and forwarded to the responsible area. A work order number will be assigned to you for your reference.

    • Note: Portal and Blackboard is hosted by CUNY. Service issues and delays are beyond our control at times

  • Telephone, voicemail and the college telephone directory
  • Network and wireless connectivity issues
  • John Jay hosted and supported applications and servers
  • Classroom equipment problems
