Print out the card, fill it in, and bring it to cap and gown pick-up on May 18 or 19 to receive your cap and gown.
Graduation Time & Place
Date: Thursday, May 28, 2009
Times: 10:30 AM or 3:30 PM
Where: Madison Square Garden Theater on 7th Avenue and 32nd Street
10:30 AM Ceremony
Students receiving degrees in Computer Information Systems, Criminology, Deviant Behavior, Government, International Criminal Justice, Judicial Studies, Forensic Psychology, Forensic computing, Forensic mental Health Counseling, Legal Studies and Dispute Resolution.
3:30 PM Ceremony
Students receiving degrees in Forensic Science, Correctional Administration, Correctional Studies, Criminal Justice, Criminal Justice Administration and Planning, Fire Science, Police Studies, Public Administration, Protection Management and Security Management.
Graduation Eligibility
Candidates for the baccalaureate degree must complete at least 120 credits to fulfill the degree requirements. Associate degree candidates must complete at least 60 credits. All degree candidates must have completed all prescribed courses, fulfilled the requirements of their majors, achieved at least a C average (2.0 GPA), and cleared all accounts with the College.
Candidates for Master's Programs must have a 3.0 GPA for graduation. All credits and other degree requirements must be completed within eight years. For the number of credits and specific requirements, refer to each program description.
Candidates for degrees are reminded that grades of INC assigned during the last semester of attendance in courses required for graduation will result in the postponement of graduation. Candidates must submit applications for their degrees by the [date noted] in the Undergraduate Academic Calendar. Spring semester candidates must demonstrate the potential for satisfying the requirements of the degrees for which they apply.

Graduation Fair (Pickup of Cap & Gown, tickets, Yearbook)
Date: Monday, May 18 and Tuesday, May 19
Time: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Where: Multipurpose Room (2200N)
At that time, you will be able to pick up your tickets for graduation, a Yearbook and meet representatives from Alumni Affairs. You can order your class ring from Jostens by clicking here and your photos by clicking here.
Refund Policy
Refunds for cancelled cap and gown orders are available from Jostens only if the company receives your request to cancel the order in writing no later than May 1.
TICKETS
Tickets for admission to graduation exercises are limited to guests of participants in the academic procession. The graduating student does not need a ticket for her/himself. Students will receive four (4) guest tickets when they pick up their caps and gowns.
Extra Tickets
You may request extra tickets by emailing extragradtickets@jjay.cuny.edu. Please be sure to include in your email request the following:
• your name
• first 5 digits of your social security number,
• number of extra tickets you are requesting
• contact number where you can be reached
While we cannot guarantee that extra tickets will be available, those available will be given out on a first come, first serve basis on or before Thursday, May 21, 2009.
