Important Information for Returning Students
The Housing Intention form will allow current residents the opportunity to notify us of their intention to return or not return for the upcoming academic year. Residents requesting to return to the residence for the upcoming year will have the opportunity to request their desired room style, room number and specific roommates. If you are not planning to return to the residence for the upcoming academic year, you can select you intend to vacate, sign, and submit the form.
All current residents interested in renewing a space for the upcoming academic year must complete the Housing Intention form by Wednesday March 13, 2019to receive priority placement. Any requests received after that date will be reviewed on a case by case basis and are no longer guaranteed priority placement.
For those requesting to return to John Jay’s Residence at the New Yorker, you will be forwarded a 2019-2020 Housing License Agreement the first week in April. You will need to complete all required housing documents in order to secure your space for the upcoming year. Your space will not be reserved until you complete a 2019-2020 Housing License Agreement and meet all specified payment deadlines.
